All The Gear
A look at all my gear for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero this summer!
With a month to go until my Olympic 10k in Rio things are starting to get really exciting! Every Team GB athlete has the chance to go to the NEC in Birmingham to get kitted out.
The process of "kitting out" takes around 2 hours from start to finish, your encouraged trying everything and make sure it all fits. You can see from the photo that we get a huge amount of kit and the likelihood is we will wear almost all of it at some point during the Games. Having the right fit of clothes is pretty important especially for our sport specific kit.
When I took the picture I counted 14 pairs of socks, 5 pairs of shoes, 6 jumpers, 6 pairs of jogging bottoms, 24 t-shirts, 1 pair of leggings, 5 pairs of shorts, 3 sports bras, a washrag, 2 belts, 2 caps, 6 swimming caps, 6 racing suits, 2 sweat bands, 2 training costumes, 3 towels, 2 drinks bottles, a travel pillow, 4 suitcases, 1 rucksack, 2 drawstring bags, opening ceremony kit, closing ceremony kit and a dry robe!
Phew that's a lot of stuff but I cannot wait to wear it all with pride during the 2016 Olympics and beyond.
Watch out for my race on the 15th of August when I swim the 10k Marathon open water event in The World famous Copacabana beach.
